I could describe it as sweet, but it's also sad and yet uplifting, with concepts of forgiveness (mainly forgiving yourself) and hope. In fact, it was a tad slow at times, even though I chuckled more than once, and read the entire book without stopping. For examples, Drops of Gold did not have the suspense and adrenaline-pumping fear factor that SP had. True, I preferred Seeking Persephone for various reasons. Glad I did! I closed the book feeling good, with a satisfied sigh. Since I totally ♥ Seeking Persephone, it made sense to try another of Sarah Eden's novels. 3+ stars for this enjoyable but slightly bland Regency.
